Product Development Engineer (m/k)

Duties:
- Lead the end-to-end development of aftertreatment products, from concept generation, design, simulation, validation, and industrialization through production launch.
- Manage engineering activities for assigned projects, ensuring achievement of technical, timing, cost, quality, and implementation objectives.
- Develop and maintain product technical documentation, including BOMs, 3D models, 2D drawings, PLM records, and engineering deliverables.
- Coordinate cross-functional development activities, organize gate reviews, monitor project progress, and provide data-driven status reporting through dashboards and KPIs.
- Generate, analyze, and leverage technical data to support engineering decisions using CAE, CAD, digital tools, AI agents, and data analytics platforms.
- Manage technical interfaces with customers and suppliers, including feasibility assessments, prototype development, technical reviews, and issue resolution.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement, identifying new technologies, initiating advanced development activities, and actively contributing to idea-generation and innovation programs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in R&D, preferably in the automotive industry or steel component manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of engineering design principles, including technical drawings, GD&T, materials, manufacturing technologies, and production processes.
- Experience with engineering analysis tools related to fluid dynamics, fatigue, durability, vibration, and performance validation.
- Proficiency in data analysis and digital engineering tools, including the application of AI, automation, APIs, and digital technologies in product development.
- Good understanding of automotive development and quality standards, including IATF 16949, VDA, and structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Robust Engineering).
- Very good command of English (minimum B2 level), both written and spoken.
- Data-driven, analytical, and results-oriented mindset, with strong teamwork, flexibility, and problem- solving skills.
